Readkin ("Readkin", "we", "us") is a reading-tracker app. We built it privacy-first: your reading library lives on your device, and we don't run ads, sell your data, or track you for advertising. This policy explains what happens with your information.
Your reading data is stored locally on your device — your book library, reading sessions, goals, streaks, your local name and avatar, and any book cover photos you add. We do not upload or copy your library to our servers. The app is fully usable offline with no account.
The Friends feature is optional. If you choose to use it, you sign in with Sign in with Apple, and Apple shares a stable user identifier (and a private relay email that hides your real email) with us.
To operate the social features we then store a small profile on our backend (hosted by Supabase, in the EU):
Friends can only see this after you and they have an accepted connection.
We store only what these features need; we never receive your card details or your real email. You can delete your account and all of this server data at any time from within the app (see "Your controls").
Readkin Pro subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple — we never see or receive your card or payment details.
To manage entitlements (whether your trial/subscription is active) we use RevenueCat, which receives a randomly generated app-user ID and the purchase/receipt and device/platform information needed to validate your subscription.
